QC Lab Technician near Ringwood, IL Industry :

Shift: 2-2-3 rotating schedule 5am-5pm Compensation: $28.50 - 30/hr doe

* Competitive Pay Opportunities RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure customers receive quality products and services they expect
* Perform routine laboratory analysis in accordance with current test methods: melt volume ratio, melt index, extrusion quality, hydroxyl determination, moisture, hardness, tensile, abrasion, TMA
* Perform non-standard laboratory analysis as required:
Test method development, test method validation, customer requests, retests
* Check and report analysis results as required
* Retesting of retains for complaints, returned products or re-certification samples
* Perform basic preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration of laboratory equipment
* Undertake effective, accurate, and efficient processing of laboratory workload
* Maintain accurate and systematic records in accordance with documented procedures
* Ensure adequate stocks of reagents and consumables
* Perform laboratory housekeeping duties
* Participate in internal and external quality audits

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry, Science, Process Technology

Experience:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in TPU manufacturing, laboratory, or quality control in chemical manufacturing

Skills:

* Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point  
* SAP experience preferred
* Excellent communication skills; both oral and written
* Literate and experienced with ISO 9001:2015 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Able to bend, stoop, lift 30 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, balance, and stand for long periods of time #P
