The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that products, services, and documentation comply with company quality standards and industry regulations. This role is responsible for validating Bill of Materials (BOM), conducting quality audits, and identifying discrepancies to drive continuous improvement. The role requires a high level of detail-orientation, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a strong understanding of engineering drawings and design requirements.
Responsibilities- Validate that Bill of Materials (BOM) accurately reflect order information and design requirements.
- Ensure that the BOM complies with Engineering and Quality standards.
- Identify and document discrepancies in the BOM while logging occurrences for corrective action.
- Perform project file audits to ensure all required approvals and supporting documentation are present.
- Conduct Engineering print checks to validate accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records on BOM audit findings and discrepancies.
- Create and maintain reports on BOM audit findings for internal reviews.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze quality data and trends to drive process improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and operations teams to address quality issues.
- Assist in training employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Investigate and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality-related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or BOM validation.
- Strong understanding of engineering design drawings and documentation.
- Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, GMP, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (CQA, Six Sigma, or ISO certification) preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related industries preferred.

CompensationThe base salary range for this full-time position is $64,000 - $74,000 . Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
