Property Manager – Inspections & Property Operations

Location: Northern Virginia

Portfolio: Approximately 347 Single-Family Homes

We are seeking a hands-on Property Manager – Inspections & Property Operations to support a portfolio of approximately 347 single-family rental homes throughout Northern Virginia
.

This position is primarily focused on property inspections, property condition, move-in readiness, and tenant/landlord communication
. The ideal candidate has residential property management experience, understands common maintenance and property-condition issues, and is comfortable conducting inspections in the field.

• Conduct move-in, move-out, and annual property inspections
  .
• Perform ongoing property condition checks and identify deficiencies, damage, maintenance concerns, and potential compliance issues.
• Ensure properties meet company standards and are ready for tenant move-in
  .
• Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants and property owners/landlords regarding property-related matters.
• Review security deposit dispositions and supporting inspection documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Review annual deficiency/defective inspection findings and ensure properties meet established company and property standards.
• Document inspection findings thoroughly and maintain accurate property records.
• Identify basic residential maintenance needs and
  ** escalate repair items
  ** to the appropriate team.
• Coordinate internally with the Maintenance Manager when maintenance or repair work is required.
• Help maintain consistent inspection, documentation, and property-condition standards across the portfolio.

• Previous experience in residential property management, assistant property management, property inspections, or a related role
  .
• Hands-on experience conducting residential property inspections is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic residential maintenance and repair needs
  , with the ability to recognize common property deficiencies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document property conditions accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with both tenants and property owners
  .
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage inspections across a large portfolio.
• Comfortable working independently and spending a meaningful portion of the workday in the field.
• Familiarity with Property ware and Inspector is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
• Salary: annually, depending on experience.
• Paid Time Off: 2 weeks.

The strongest candidate will be someone who enjoys being out in the field, evaluating properties, identifying issues, and making sure homes meet established standards
. You should be comfortable communicating with tenants and owners while having enough residential maintenance knowledge to recognize when something needs attention.
