Job Summary
We are seeking a Research Assistant who will work primarily on an NIH‑funded research study investigating healthy aging in autism spectrum disorder. The position requires schedule flexibility (typically Monday‑Friday, 9‑5) to accommodate participant needs. The Research Assistant will gain hands‑on experience in the administration and execution of the study, team‑science collaboration, and protocol development and implementation. The individual will develop research skills across multiple methodological approaches, including cognitive and imaging research.
Responsibilities- Recruitment and scheduling of research participants.
- Maintains files and records of research data.
- Data collection from a variety of sources.
- Data entry and database management.
- Consenting and interviews of research participants.
- Preparing study materials and assisting research participants during study visits.
- May assist in cognitive testing of research participants.
- May assist in the preparation of manuscripts and presentation materials.
- May edit research papers, project reports, and publication materials.
- May travel to a variety of sites both within and outside the University campus to obtain data.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (e.g., a bachelor’s degree equals 4 years of directly related experience).
Research Coordinator (Non‑R.N.) I:
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) plus 2 years of directly related work experience, or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
Preference is given to candidates with a background in psychology or experience in neuropsychological or cognitive testing. Preference is also given to individuals with interest and/or experience working with adults with cognitive difficulties, developmental disabilities, and/or autism spectrum disorder.
Additional RequirementsThis position may require the successful completion of a criminal background check and/or drug screen.
