Job Summary

The Division of Epidemiology’s Evo-Epidemiology Laboratory seeks a Research Assistant/Analyst to support tuberculosis epidemiology projects, focusing on seasonality and climate drivers.

• Data cleaning of epidemiologic and climate/pollutant datasets.
• Statistical modeling: descriptive statistics, time series analysis, data visualization.
• Manuscript writing.
• Assistance with other laboratory projects.

Design and conduct experimental research, interpret study data, develop protocols, reports, and disseminate findings. Work under guidance of senior scientists.

• Bachelor’s (or equivalency) plus 2 years of directly related work experience or master’s degree (or equivalency).
• Background in biostatistics and/or epidemiology, strong coding foundation.
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python) preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Research Scientist I: 2 years experience or master’s degree. Pay $36,196–$83,036.
• Research Scientist II
  : 4 years experience or master’s +2 years. Pay $43,796–$100,474.
• Research Scientist III
  : 6 years experience or master’s +4 years. Pay $48,175–$110,521.
• Research Scientist IV
  : 8 years experience or master’s +6 years. Pay $64,122–$147,104.
