The Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, W. G. Kerckhoff Institute, Bad Nauheim, Research Group Cellular Resilience (Group leader: Dr. Reymond Sutandy) is seeking, at the earliest possible date and initially for 2 years:
Technical Assistant (F/M/D) Full- or part-time, Reference No.

The Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim is among the leading research institutes in the field of biomedical science. The institute comprises four departments and two additional research groups, with around 380 employees in total. The Cellular Resilience Research Group is a young and dynamic team studying how cells respond to stress in both physiological and disease contexts.

Our particular focus is on how mitochondria, as key signaling organelles, orchestrate these responses through regulation at the RNA and protein levels.

We are looking for a highly motivated and curious individual who is eager to contribute to cutting-edge research and grow together with our team.

Your Responsibilities
  • Supporting scientific staff with molecular biology, biochemistry, cell culture, and cell biology methods
  • Preparing reagents and solutions for scientific staff
  • Assisting in general lab organization and carrying out routine laboratory tasks
  • Providing administrative support
Your Qualifications
  • Completed professional training as a technical assistant (BTA, MTA, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team
  • Strong motivation to learn new methods and techniques
  • Experience in molecular cloning and cell culture is desirable
