Postdoctoral Scholar

Job Summary

The Postdoctoral Scholar will perform scientific research on biophysical ocean modeling in a collaborative research framework within the LSUAM CCE – DOCS – Biophysical Ocean Modeling Lab.

• Design, implement, and analyze research projects – 40%
• Prepare scientific publications and presentations – 40%
• Coordinate and train student research assistants – 10%
• Engage in professional development activities and other duties as assigned – 10%

• Ph.D. in a science degree

• Proficient in scientific programming
• Communicates clearly in written, verbal, and visual scientific mediums
• Proficient in collaborative research skills
