Job Overview
The Food and Beverage Manager projects a sense of passion and urgency towards the delivery of excellent guest service and quality products. Duties and Responsibilities- Identify and define operational needs within the restaurant (and other outlets or areas, if assigned) and implement solutions that result in beneficial changes to assigned operations.
- Abide by all State, Federal, and WCH requirements pertaining to serving alcohol.
- Develop and implement customer service training programs as needed and assure outstanding service to all guests at all times.
- Direct the development and administration of controls for all phases of assigned outlets economically and profitably while maintaining established standards.
- Develop staffing schedules that assure the highest service levels with maximum productivity.
- Develop and monitor the status of budgets.
- Ensure that interim and annual performance evaluations are completed on time and files maintained.
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Be responsible for profit/loss of assigned operations.
- Counsel, guide, train, and instruct assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
- Continually seek new methods and programs to promote the restaurant and the property as a whole.
- Obtain and retain all pertinent information regarding daily promotions, food and beverage specials, property promotions, station assignments, and scheduled entertainment and assure that all staff are informed of said information.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED – required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Field AND two (2) years of Supervisory experience in a high volume, multiple shifts, F&B outlet – required.
- OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position in a high volume, multiple shifts, F&B outlet – required.
- OR Three (3) years’ experience in an F&B Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality – required.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
- Extensive knowledge of food products and service techniques.
- After hire, successful completion of Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET training required to retain position.
- After hire, successful completion of Serve Safe Sanitation training required to retain position.
- Ability to maneuver in all areas of assigned outlets, including all food and beverage service areas.
- Ability to lift and carry up to forty (40) pounds.
- Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts.
- Proven ability to develop a budget.
- Proven ability to understand financial data and manage a budget.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with computer‑based time and attendance, and/or client‑booking systems.
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
- Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position.
- Pay range - $57,900.00 - $71,500.00 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset).
