Pay Grade: 2

Qualifications- Education/Certification
- Current City Food Handler's permit
- High School Diploma or GED
- Only GED certificates obtained through a GED Testing Center approved by the GED Testing Service (GETS) will be accepted.
- Individual recommended for the position must pay a $49.26 fingerprinting fee by credit card as part of the application process to be considered for employment. (Fee is subject to change.)
- Ability to understand food preparation and safety instructions
- Ability to read menus, recipes and production records
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
- Ability to promote teamwork and effectively communicate with fellow staff, students, administrators, and parents
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and meet strict health department requirements
A minimum of six month employment experience in food service and food preparation. Minimum of three years of part-time employment (substitute time) with SFDR-CISD can be used in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
