Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, support seasonal resets and installations, and may work with other products as needed.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 – $17.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
  • Paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom.
  • Voluntary benefits include medical, dental, vision, etc.

Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.

  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 7‑10 hours per week

  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Responsibilities

The retail merchandiser position consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement
    :
    Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support
    :
    Provide additional days and extended hours leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the holidays, including weekends.
  • Department resets
    :
    Participate in installations, building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Usually notified two weeks in advance; may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team support
    :
    Support other team members in their territories as needed.
Physical Requirements

High level of energy and sense of urgency. Work on selling floor and back stockrooms. Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 lbs throughout the workday and up to 50 lbs on occasion. Requires kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, climbing stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
