Fishing Outfitter- Part Time

Position Summary

The Sales Outfitter performs various selling/customer service activities, greeting customers promptly, handling merchandise, providing information, assistance, and direction.

• Supports a strong commitment to world‑class customer service and ensures pleasant, productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Insures pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Demonstrates product to customers.
• Replenishes product on shelves per merchandising guidelines.
• Remains a product expert through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintains pricing and signing.
• Assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Restocks merchandise as required.
• Keeps work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Provides legendary experience for every customer by:
  • identifying and evaluating customers’ needs,
  • making product recommendations based on this analysis,
  • promoting programs including, but not limited to, CLUB Membership, VOC and In‑store pick‑up.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Minimum degree:
  High‑school education or equivalent experience.

• Calculate discounts and make change.
• Communicate friendly and professionally to customers and associates.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Operate a computerized point‑of‑sale register system.

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Constantly communicate with others.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
• Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Light work includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally lift up to 100 pounds or more with team lift.
• Occasionally work in tight, confined spaces.
• Occasionally work in noisy environments.

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasionally requires independent judgment to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to procedures, policies, and practices.
