As a Security Officer - Badge Issuance in CHANNAHON , IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage access control and badge activity, monitor alarms and security-related systems, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools.

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Staff entry points and verify authorization by checking identification, reviewing credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining access logs in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other access control systems and report irregular activity or equipment issues through established reporting channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of controlled access areas, buildings, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
