Duties
* Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security program.
* Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program.
* Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues.

* Position is designated Special-Sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
* Drug Testing:

EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls. Ability to plan and carry out reviews of unit and/or contractor security programs, analyze and evaluate reports and conditions to recommend remedial actions.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,

1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices.
2. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
3. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
4. Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization.
