Day Shift

Join the Mercy One Family as a Security Officer. You will provide a physical presence for the purpose of prevention and/or detection of adverse conditions that would place the safety and security of the hospital environment at risk while protecting the welfare of patients, visitors, staff, and facility assets. You will interact with a variety of people inside or outside the organization, often in difficult or stressful situations.

Your role requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to handle complex and sensitive topics and to gain agreement from others.

• 6:30 am – 3:00 pm; every other weekend 6:30 am – 7:00 pm, holiday rotation

• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic Life Support and CPR within 60 days
• Law enforcement or criminal justice coursework preferred

• High School diploma or equivalent

Pay range: $18.25 – $27.37. Actual compensation will fall within the range and may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
