• Lead a team of carpenters and laborers on-site.
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, trimming, fixtures, such as cabinetry, doors, windows and molding, drywall and finish work.
• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials.
• Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and door frames, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard, using paint, hand tools, and paneling.
• Work with and/or remove hazardous material.
• Perform minor plumbing, tiling, HVAC, welding and/or concrete mixing work.
• Train and mentor junior team members to develop skills and ensure quality workmanship.
• Monitor inventory of materials and tools and request purchases when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

• High School Diploma
• 4 years of professional carpentry experience.
• Experience running heavy equipment such as skidsteer, forklift, dump truck, crane, and backhoe.

• Able to work a flexible work schedule with varying days and hours, including call-ins.
• Able to work outdoors in all seasons and work at heights.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100 lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; hear and speak; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include correctable vision to complete work in a safe manner.

The starting wage for this position is $28-$32/hour, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience and qualifications.

• One-time annual salary to a maximum of $200,000 and premium 100% paid by Marquis

  Mutual of Omaha — Provides 60% of earnings, to a maximum monthly benefit of $5,000
