Role Description

The Resident Field Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing equipment problems for customers in a professional and timely manner. Routine tasks include troubleshooting, performing equipment inspections, executing preventative maintenance, completing detailed service reports, and interfacing with clients to address their technical concerns. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tolono, IL, requiring travel to customer locations to provide field service support.

Qualifications
  • Technical proficiency in diagnostics, equipment repair, and maintenance processes
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients
  • Ability to work independently while upholding high standards for quality and safety
  • Relevant certifications or previous experience in heavy equipment, construction, or forestry machinery is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel and a valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel or equipment mechanics is preferred
