Regional Maintenance Laborer

Overview

Support multiple facilities across the region in a hands‑on maintenance role focused on keeping equipment, grounds, and operations running safely and efficiently.

• Participate in the company safety program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
• Perform all duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations; wear appropriate PPE.
• Conduct daily walk‑throughs of the facility and equipment, plan and prioritize work based on facility needs and supervisor input.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance per manufacturer recommendations and company policies to maximize equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot reported or discovered equipment issues; repair or replace defective parts or request assistance as needed.
• Maintain required inventory to complete routine tasks and maintenance.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
• Perform general housekeeping and clean‑up of all work areas.
• Utilize industry standards and research information to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform highly skilled maintenance tasks (e.g., electrical, fabrication, welding, cutting, blue‑print reading, carpentry) as assigned.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: None required.
• Preferred: 1 year’s experience working in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.
• License/Certification: Mechanical Maintenance Certificate preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced level of understanding of mechanical maintenance, machine and tool knowledge.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to accept and follow directions.
• Ability to apply common sense and logical thought to interpret communications and recommend solutions.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Constantly balance, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel and squat.
• Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders.
• Concentrate on tasks without becoming distracted.
• Enter information into a computer.
• Grasp and reach frequently.
• Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally depending on daily needs.
• Use PPE and comply with PFT and fit testing when applicable.
• Work in confined spaces and on barge surfaces at high decks.
• Operate within extreme weather conditions and high dust environments.
• Work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed.

Expected base pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $25.00.
