Heavy Laborer

Location:

Romeoville, IL 60446

Shift: 2nd shift 6:00 pm to 4:30 am, Monday – Thursday

• Unload propane tanks, prepare building site materials, stack propane tanks, and set up equipment
• Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor
• Move materials from one place to another, depalletize, ensure a good paint job is applied, remove the cylinder from the paint line, and place the cylinder on a conveyor
• Wear headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate clothing
• Complete all assigned tasks quickly and safely
• Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures
• Dig, move dirt, or compact space
• Provide assistance to contractors (i.e., craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed
• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

• Heavy Laborer experience preferred
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Able to pass a background check
• Able to work in the United States
• State licensure to work with hazardous materials preferred but not required; union certification preferred but not required
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40‑50 pounds
• Comfortable working at elevated levels
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
• English and Spanish fluency a plus
