Position Overview

As a Concrete Finisher, your primary responsibility is to ensure that poured concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and visually appealing. You will work as part of a construction team to complete various projects, contributing your expertise in concrete finishing techniques. Pay range $25-$30 per hour depending on experience. This position requires additional duties that include Waterproofing, Crack repair and/or Concrete leveling, if concrete jobs are not needed to keep you from a layoff.

What this position looks like for you:
  • Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by setting up forms and applying necessary coatings.
  • Smooth and level freshly poured concrete using trowels, edgers, and floats.
  • Create expansion joints and textures as required.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for defects and make necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical issues that may arise during the installation process.
  • Provide regular updates to management on project status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents on the job site.
Qualifications for an Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in concrete finishing.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
