Falcon Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Weekend Shift)
Location:
East Alton, IL, USA. Full‑time, on‑site.
Whether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or performing inspections on advanced civilian aircraft, each day presents new experiences and growth opportunities.
You Will Be Essential To Many Functions:- Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem‑solving aircraft system/component issues.
- De‑fueling aircraft.
- Engine removal and installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Clear communication (speak, write, read) in English.
- Any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.
Your Experience AMT I- Airframe or Powerplant license required;
Airframe license preferred. - 0–2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
- Limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects.
- Requires close supervision of general maintenance tasks.
- Airframe or Powerplant license required;
Airframe license preferred. - 2–4 years of experience in aviation maintenance.
- Experience on corporate aircraft preferred but not essential.
- Considerable knowledge of the job and general maintenance aspects.
- Requires general supervision on routine maintenance and more detailed instruction for special assignments.
- Airframe license required;
Powerplant license highly preferred. - 4–6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance.
- Experience on corporate aircraft highly preferred but not essential.
- Full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.
- Airframe and Powerplant license required.
- 6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance.
- Extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms.
- Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.

Your Sense Of ResponsibilityAttend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments. Notify supervisor in advance of shift if you are unable to work. Have reliable transportation to get to work each day. Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Follow all company and safety rules during duties. Maintain customer‑oriented work habits.
Physical Requirements- Lifts 50 lbs.
- Routine walking, bending, squatting or sitting.
- Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
- Climbs ladders and stairs, works in small, restricted areas.
- Stands for long periods.
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
- Work with others in a professional manner.
Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance. May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Working ConditionsHangar environment with extreme temperature variations; work outside during aircraft runs; varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used- Personal hand tools supplied.
- Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
- Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
- Tugs, power carts and other engine‑powered equipment.
The hourly rate generally ranges between $30–$46, depending on location, experience and performance. Additional compensation includes a shift differential for alternate shifts, a semi‑annual discretionary bonus, a 401(k) company match, and an employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
