Utility Locator Technician

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a critical role ensuring safety and compliance with underground utilities? We are seeking motivated Utility Locator Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately locating underground facilities such as telephone lines, electric power lines, cable TV lines, gas lines, fiber optic lines, water lines, and sewer lines.

This essential job involves observing, marking, and documenting utility locations while complying with client and state requirements.

• Company vehicle, laptop, and smartphone
• All personal protective equipment

• Locating underground facilities by using specialized transmitters.
• Navigating diverse terrains in various weather conditions, including construction zones, residential, commercial, industrial, and rural areas.
• Interpreting job orders, blueprints, and maps to effectively complete tasks.
• Responding to emergency locates during regular, overtime, and holiday hours as needed.
• Maintaining professional communication and interactions with customers, coworkers, and third parties.
• Coordinating with management and utility customers to prevent damages efficiently.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the tools and technology required for the job.
• Collaborating with others in a team-oriented environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State-issued driver's license
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand various types of prints
• Vacuum truck experience is a bonus
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs
• Ability to walk and stand for multiple hours a day
• Excellent communication skills
• Pass a background screening (no violations in the last 5 years)
• Pass a DOT drug test

Full-time

10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, on-call, and weekends as needed.

On the road. All employees will be equipped with necessary technology and work vehicles to carry out their duties effectively.
