Maintenance Technician
Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a growing chemical manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team! This is a full-time maintenance/production position with a schedule that may vary depending on production needs and short-notice situations. Call-ins may be required.
Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
- Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
- Full-time opportunity
- Maintenance and production-based position
- Oil and grease equipment; change filters and valves
- Troubleshoot valves, pumps, electrical systems, motors, and mechanical issues
- Rebuild pumps correctly and in a timely manner
- Repair doors, lights, switches, outlets, and complete painting tasks
- Complete new electrical and piping installs and repairs to existing systems
- Troubleshoot boilers, cooling towers, pumps, furnaces, and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot and set up VFDs, including new installs
- Perform basic wiring of 0-10 volts, 120-240V single phase, and 208-480V 3 phase systems
- Perform basic conduit bending
- Complete welding and fabrication projects as needed (SMAW and GMAW)
- Perform monthly preventative maintenance (PMs)
- Assist with various production tasks as needed
- Snow removal
- Complete and maintain maintenance logs
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety guidelines
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience
- Experience reading manuals, parts diagrams, and blueprints
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, email, and Microsoft Office
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
- Comfortable working in tight spaces and inside tanks
- Must consistently wear proper PPE and follow safety procedures
