Position Summary
As a Building and Grounds Level II, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of company buildings and equipment. A broad knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and HVACR systems is required for this position.
What You'll Do- Repair and maintain physical structures using hand and power tools
- Maintain the grounds including mowing, snow removal, repairing roads and lots
- Make repairs to tools and equipment including dock doors, levelers, compressors
- Move, install, and adjust fixtures, motors and other electrical/mechanical equipment
- Must participate as a member of the emergency response team
- Maintain HVACR and fire systems
- Apply lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the position
- High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
- Ability to pass physical abilities test to meet demands of position
- Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely
- 5 years of maintenance trades experience.
- Electrical knowledge 110v-480v single and three phase.
- A safety mindset
- One year of HVAC training or three years of on-the-job training.
- Two years welding experience or formal training.
- Plumbing skills.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer skills/proficiency
- Schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Hours:
7:00 AM-5:30 PM - Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to environments with very hot and cold temperatures, as well as varying heights
- Regular lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of 75 pounds
- Occasional overnight travel required; ability to travel without restriction by all modes of transportation to attend meetings and training
