Seasonal Grain Elevator Operator
Over the past 50 years, The company leads in the grain and transportation industries. We are seeking Seasonal Grain Elevator Operators to support daily grain handling operations during harvest. This role involves hands‑on work in a team‑oriented agricultural environment.
Responsibilities- Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
- Perform all duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations (ISO where applicable).
- Transfer, load and move grain to appropriate locations.
- Maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred.
- Weigh trucks and grade grain where applicable.
- Complete documentation accurately and legibly.
- Perform general clean‑up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and other housekeeping responsibilities.
- Operate, run, monitor and shut down dryer as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: None required. Preferred: 1 year’s experience working in an industrial environment.

- Ability to complete documentation requirements.
- Ability to follow directions and troubleshoot problems.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Ability to use appropriate tools.
- Ability to maintain focus on exceptional customer service.
- Ability to balance constantly and continuously.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel and squat frequently.
- Climb stairs and ladders to significant heights (some facilities).
- Concentrate on tasks without distraction.
- Distinguish grain quality characteristics (only at some facilities).
- Use nose to recognize odor variations.
- Enter information into a computer.
- Grasp and reach frequently.
- Lift/push/pull 50 lbs. occasionally to continuously depending on location.
- Use and meet PPE requirements.
- Pass PFT and fit testing.
- Pass required FRA and DOT testing where applicable.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Walk on barge surfaces and around water (Convent, LA only).
- Stand and walk constantly and continuously.
- Communicate verbally, in person and via two‑way radio; recognize emergency alarms.
- Communicate written instructions.
- Walk safely on railcar tops, open gates, operate vibrators where applicable.
- Work extended hours, weekend, holidays or alternate shifts as needed.
- Work in high dust, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions and extreme weather.
- Be acutely aware of surroundings.
- Use near, far and peripheral vision and depth perception for tasks.
- Ability to open silo bin doors and rail car hoppers (Convent, LA only).
The work environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat, cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions. Personal protective equipment is often required.
Travel may be required at some facilities (5%–20%). This may include off‑site training or work at alternate locations.
CompensationBase pay range: $17.00 per hour.
