Maintenance Technician - 1st shift Position Summary
Performs routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of facilities. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery, mechanical equipment, and facilities in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities- Working knowledge of programming controls (PLC)
- Effectively troubleshoot complex equipment with programmable controls
- Performs routine repairs and services to production equipment, apparatus, attachments, fixtures, and accessories.
- Assists with the preventive maintenance program by ensuring that all tasks are completed, and machinery and equipment is maintained per the required intervals and schedule for serving and repair.
- Maintains building and grounds including plumbing, painting, drywalling, mechanical and electrical work.
- Assembles, installs, and moves machinery and equipment which may include installation of water, airlines and electric. Assists in debugging and modifying new machines and equipment.
- Troubleshoots and problem solves equipment and machinery issues
- Addresses repair and maintenance requests in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Completes plant continuous improvement ideas (CI’s) when assigned and identifies and completes additional CI’s for the department.
- Follow all safety standards, procedures and policies set by the organization, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a related field, preferably in a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Technical training or certification a plus.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude; experience with 480V 3 phase wiring and PLC programming preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and terminology.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Trouble shooting, problem solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and testing equipment.
- Flexibility to adjust shift schedule as production needs require.
The salary range for this position is $26.31 - $32.23/hour.
