Now hiring Pipe Welders in Chicago Heights!
Trillium Construction is now seeking Pipe Welders for a few different sites around Chicago Heights, IL.
This will be longer term work, around 6+ months, and could be longer. Will be Stainless steel and carbon piping. One of the jobsites is an expansion at Marquis Energy Facility in Hennepin, IL. There will be two shutdowns during the next 4 weeks. A lot of process piping!! Miles of 16” pipe. Should know how to read ISO’s. Welding will be stainless steel and carbon pipe.
Must be able to stick and TIG weld. The weld tests will be a 6g visual and bend test on Sch 160 and another
160 on carbon. One will be stick test 6010 open root and hot pass, 7018 fill and cap. The second will be open root TIG all the way out. The company will keep you busy for the next 6 weeks. May also be asked to do some fabrication work for the installs at Hennepin, IL This would be at their shop in East Chicago, IL.
Candidates will be working 10 - hour days, 5 days per week until the two scheduled shutdowns which will be 12 hour days. Pay is $36/hour and $115/day in per diem all 7 days.
- Experience with Stainless pipe, carbon pipe is required.
- Tools of their trade.
- Must be able to stick and TIG
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screening.
