Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Tech position in Orangeville, IL offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic food and beverage manufacturing environment. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:- Develop and manage daily work schedules for maintenance staff
- Assign, monitor, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks
- Conduct inspections of equipment, systems, and the facility to identify issues
- Perform repairs, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, brazing, and carpentry tasks
- Generate parts orders as needed to support maintenance activities
- Address and resolve production, warehouse, and facility issues proactively
- Support and maintain food safety standards by following GMP and BRC requirements
- Complete preventative maintenance procedures and document activities
- Collaborate with QA and management to ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections
- High school diploma, trade certification, or equivalent; relevant certifications (welding, electrical, plumbing) preferred
- Experience or knowledge in mechanical operations and building maintenance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs multiple times throughout the shift
- Capable of working in temperatures ranging from
-20°F to 125°F, including wet conditions and off ladders
- Physical ability to stand for 4–6 hours, climb ladders frequently, and perform bending and twisting motions regularly
- Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
