The Senior Field Service Technician owns the reliable operation, commissioning, and field support of our electrical systems. This role combines advanced PLC and electrical troubleshooting with strong hydraulic and mechanical capability. The technician responds to customer emergencies, makes controlled program and equipment changes, returns systems to safe service, and communicates clearly with customers and internal teams.

Job Functions
  • Work with controls and PLC systems
    • Diagnose PLC, HMI, sensor, network, and motor-control problems.
    • Safely modify, test, back up, and document PLC programs and control logic.
  • Provide field service and emergency response
    • Routine PMs
    • Provide remote and onsite support for customer equipment failures, including on-call emergencies
    • Communicate with the customer, determine the cause, and restore equipment to safe operation
    • Make lasting repairs that address root causes
  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical service
    • Diagnose and repair industrial electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
    • Read schematics and use appropriate tools to troubleshoot equipment.
    • Complete repairs, adjustments, component replacements, and basic fabrication safely.
  • Maintain parts and inventory on the service truck
  • Develop systems for continuous improvement and documentation
  • Provide electrical and PLC service on grain systems in general
  • Work with the Enable millwright team when needed
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Perform whatever duties as directed by Supervisor
  • Approximately 40-45 hours per week
  • 7:00-4:00
  • On an on-call rotation for emergency service
  • Occasional overnight travel is expected
Compensation
  • $38-$45/hour depending on experience and skill level
  • 1.5X overtime
  • 2X on after hour service calls
