Trim Carpenter
We are seeking a skilled trim carpenter with experience in metal materials, including aluminum, steel, and composite metals, to support the installation of louvered roof systems, motorized pergolas, exterior screens, and custom outdoor structures. This role demands precision craftsmanship, problem-solving abilities, and comfort working with high-end architectural products.
Responsibilities- Install and finish metal trim components for pergolas, louvered roofs, and exterior shade systems.
- Measure, cut, and fabricate aluminum and steel materials using saws, grinders, shears, and specialty tools.
- Assemble structural and decorative metal elements with tight tolerances and clean finish standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment, weatherproofing, and integration of mechanical components, including motors, louvers, and tracks.
- Perform on-site adjustments, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of metal assemblies.
- Collaborate with installation teams to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and safe handling of metal materials.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, professional condition.
- 3+ years of experience in trim carpentry, metal fabrication, or architectural metal installation.
- Proficiency with metal-specific tools.
- Ability to produce clean, accurate cuts and high-quality finish work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work EnvironmentYou will work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a small team of 2-3 crew members. Our company has a small team size with 3-5 field staff, creating a close-knit working environment. The dress code includes work pants and boots. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, starting at the shop each morning. Tools and PPE are provided.

This is a Permanent position based out of Spring Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
