About the Role:

Childers Door Service of Central Illinois is looking for a skilled and dependable Residential Garage Door Installer to join our growing team in Hudson, IL. This is a hands-on role where you'll make a real difference for homeowners every single day. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoy working independently, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Install new residential garage doors, tracks, springs, and hardware on new and existing homes

Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on garage door systems and openers

Diagnose mechanical and operational issues with torsion and extension spring systems

Ensure proper alignment, balance, and safe operation of all installed doors

Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process

Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and job site

Complete service documentation and work orders accurately

Requirements:

Prior experience in garage door installation, general construction, or a related trade preferred

Familiarity with hand and power tools used in door installation and service

Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time effectively in the field
