An experienced Semi Truck & Trailer Mechanic is needed for Pontoon Beach, IL (with additional openings in Bridgeton, MO). The position requires a professional demeanor, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to quality service.
Work Details- Location: Pontoon Beach, IL (also Bridgeton, MO)
- Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Compensation: $25 – $34 per hour, based on experience
- Perform FHWA inspections on customer and company equipment per DOT guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including lights, wiring, ABS, and battery charging.
- Install and set up GPS devices.
- Conduct brake work, airbag repairs, and tandem repairs.
- Perform welding (aluminum, stick, TIG) and trailer body panel repairs.
- Execute floor and roof repairs, tire removal/replacement, and bumper repair/replacement.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Extensive mechanical experience with truck‑trailers and related equipment.
- Own personal tools.
- Ability to drive forklift or scissor lifts.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (CDL not required, but a plus).
- Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Must meet all background and drug‑screening policy requirements.
