SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Our client is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Licensed School Social Worker to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The ideal candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic, behavioral, and social-emotional support that promotes student success in a structured and nurturing educational environment.
CLIENT'S HOURLY RATEIndependent Contractors can earn up to $60 per hour depending on their qualifications, availability, and skills.

DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide direct social work services to students in accordance with IEP goals and ESY programming.
- Facilitate individual and small group social-emotional support sessions.
- Support students with emotional regulation, coping strategies, peer interactions, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with behavior intervention planning.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and progress monitoring records.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Assist in creating a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student needs and progress.
- Experience in therapeutic day school, special education.
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral interventions.
- Experience providing school-based counseling and crisis support.
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with special needs preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP processes, behavior supports, and trauma-informed practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
- Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health.
