School-Based Social Worker | Lemont, Illinois

What you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Active state licensure/certification to practice as a School Social Worker
• Prior experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities—capable of building rapport with students, families, and staff
• Understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and a commitment to supporting equity and inclusion
• Ability to manage sensitive situations confidentially and professionally
• Self-motivation and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively

• Deliver direct social work services to students and families, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact learning
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create intervention strategies and support plans
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to foster student well-being and resilience
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to facilitate student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and other multidisciplinary team processes
• Support crisis intervention and provide short-term or ongoing case management as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and legal regulations
