Location: Savoy

This full-time, contract opportunity offers 35 hours per week and allows you to provide crucial support and guidance to students, families, and staff. You'll collaborate with educators to foster a positive learning environment, address social and emotional needs, and promote student well-being within the school community.

Qualifications & Desired

Experience:
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to assess student needs and develop effective intervention plans
  • Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supporting children and adolescents with diverse backgrounds and needs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address attendance, behavioral, and academic concerns
  • Develop intervention strategies to support students' social and emotional growth
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and connect families with community resources
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of all student records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
  • Provide professional guidance on matters related to child welfare, mental health, and at-risk populations
