School Social Worker

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

Our client is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to provide services to primarily high school students across multiple member school districts in the St. Louis Metro East area. This is a travel-based position supporting students with a variety of social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs while collaborating closely with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Region III specializes in providing special education services to students with low‑incidence disabilities and related support services across its member districts.

Positions are located in Cottage Hills, IL (St. Louis Metro East area)

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience providing school-based social work services, preferably with middle or high school students
• Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and IDEA regulations
• Experience conducting social‑emotional assessments and developing intervention strategies
• Ability to provide individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices, behavior management, and social‑emotional learning (SEL)
