Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work (SSW) endorsement is required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially working with high school age students
- Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning initiatives
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and independently
- Provide individual and group counseling for high school students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Assess, address, and monitor student needs; develop intervention strategies and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure holistic support for students
- Serve as a liaison connecting families with community and mental health resources as appropriate
- Document services, maintain case records, and comply with all reporting and confidentiality standards
- Proactively support positive school culture and respond effectively to crisis situations and immediate student concerns
