School Social Worker - Maple Park, IL

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Social Worker for a friendly district near Maple Park, IL. This on-site role serves K-5th grade students and spans from August 12, 2026, through November 4, 2026, with the potential for extension based on district need. Your contributions will help nurture the social and emotional well-being of young learners and collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Demonstrated experience providing social work services in a school setting (K-5 experience strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and classroom consultation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social and emotional support to students, individually and in small groups
• Collaborate with general and special education teams to develop and implement student support plans and IEP goals
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources to connect families with necessary supports
  
  Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
• Lead classroom presentations or workshops on topics related to social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, or peer relationships
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and district protocols

This is a full-time, onsite position with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM.
