ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Social Worker to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well‑being in an Illinois school district. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and fostering positive school climates.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
- Conduct social and developmental assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, counselors, and related service providers to support student success.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to eligibility, planning, and progress monitoring.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
- Connect students and families with community resources, counseling services, and social support programs.
- Consult with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and available supports.
- Assist with attendance improvement initiatives, behavior intervention planning, and positive behavioral supports.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required.
- Current Illinois licensure in good standing.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and student support services.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and educational staff.
- Experience with crisis prevention and intervention.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and restorative practices.
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and social-emotional learning programs.
