Position: SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST with Security Clearance
Location: Scott Air Force Base

Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as a first level supervisor, providing technical and administrative supervision over subordinates/employees and to serve as senior HQ AMC Long Range Planner providing expertise in planning, implementing and directing the preparation and presentation of the Rapid Global Mobility (RGM) Core Function Lead consisting of 238 programs. Duties:
* As Branch Chief, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Long Range Planning Branch, ensuring that the Long Range Planning Branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Represents HQ AMC to HQ USAF and other AF MAJCOMS.
* Applying Air Force military rated aviator experience, analyzes, develops, and evaluates detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation of assigned major command programs.
* Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned programs. * Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

* This is a Centrally Managed Position in the Operations Career Field.
* This is a Supervisory Position. A 1 year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
* May travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the duty site.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Qualifications Conditions of Employment Continued:
This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing. The selectee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is identified as a TDP.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series, 0343. SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of command level plans and programs for conducting major operations such as rescue, mission and flight operations, tactical airlift, deployment, mobilization, exercise, flying training systems both manned and unmanned, rescue, foreign military sales, PPBS, acquisition, special operations, or similar operations;

knowledge of Air Force and command program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations; knowledge of the application of Air Force military expertise as it applies to assigned programs and assigned weapons systems.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
