Position Overview As a Clinical Social Worker with the Illinois Department of Corrections, you serve those who need the help most. You will treat challenging, complex cases with a variety of diagnoses. You will join a dedicated team of multidisciplinary professionals who are focused on providing excellent care to individuals in our custody. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply. Essential Functions Conducts intensive, structured on-site client and treatment plant clinical reviews at the facility. Participates in monthly program staff meetings, facility staff meetings and mental health team meetings. Serves as Crisis Team leader. Collaborates with clinical staff to identify available facility operational and community resources that present treatment and discharge barriers for individuals receiving care and evaluates the utilization of these resources.

Assists the facility administrative staff with formulation of facility program design/expansion recommendations, with the most effective and efficient utilization of program resources. Signs certificates of admission for involuntary and court-ordered admissions. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications Requires a master's degree in social work from a recognized school of social work supplemented by three (3) years of supervised post master's clinical social work practice and possession of a clinical social worker's license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
