Job Summary

IT Software Developer IV – The IT Software Developer for UIT’s University Support Services (USS) will provide a primary role in the development and support of custom research-oriented web-based applications used by the University of Utah ks closely with dynamic team web engineers, UI designers, and product managers with the goal of creating and maintaining innovative and feature-rich applications for users on campus, including research departments, researchers, and others.

Responsibilities

The IT Software Developer will develop and support custom research-oriented web-based applications, collaborating with web engineers, UI designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions and maintain application performance, security, and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
  • Requirements:
    Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) plus 8 years of directly related work experience, or Master’s degree (or equivalency) plus 6 years of directly related work experience.
  • Experience with People Soft interfaces and web applications at the University of Utah.
