Location and Logistics
- Location: Hybrid/Onsite in Mettawa, IL
- Duration: 06-12 Months contract
- Employment Type: Contract W2 (No C2C)
The Architect will design and govern robust Adobe AEM solutions across sites, forms, frontend and backend capabilities for global clients. You will translate business requirements into scalable architectures that enhance digital experience, optimize content operations, and align with hybrid work practices while supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and research and development use cases.

- Design end-to-end Adobe AEM architectures that integrate forms, sites, frontend, and backend components to deliver consistent and scalable digital experiences.
- Drive solution blueprints for complex AEM implementations by translating business goals into technical designs.
- Oversee configuration and customization of AEM sites and related modules to support content authoring workflows, multilingual experiences, and personalized journeys.
- Guide development teams on AEM frontend implementation, including component-driven design, responsive layouts, and client-side optimization.
- Direct backend solution patterns for AEM, including service layer design, integration patterns, and content modeling.
- Coordinate with enterprise architects, product owners, and stakeholders to align AEM capabilities with operational process optimization.
- Partner with research and development teams to explore innovative AEM use cases and experimentation frameworks.
- Establish reference architectures, coding standards, and review practices for Adobe AEM solutions.
- Collaborate with security and compliance experts to embed privacy, data protection, and access control requirements.
- Optimize AEM performance by defining caching strategies, content structure guidelines, and monitoring dashboards.
- Coordinate cross-functional work planning for AEM releases, including estimation, technical risk assessment, and deployment strategies.
- Support content authors and business users by shaping intuitive templates, components, and workflows.
- Document solution decisions, patterns, and runbooks to enable knowledge transfer and sustainable long-term platform ownership.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing Adobe AEM solutions across forms, sites, frontend, and backend modules.
- Proven background in AEM sites architecture, including content modeling, template frameworks, component design, and workflow configuration.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, including modern frontend approaches, Java-based backend development, and integration techniques.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a hybrid work arrangement.
- Nice to have: Experience applying AEM capabilities to manufacturing and supply chain business scenarios.
- Nice to have: Exposure to research and development environments.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with cloud-based hosting models for AEM and related Dev Ops practices.
- Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) -- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect or equivalent advanced certification.
