Assistant Equipment Manager

Job Overview

The Assistant Equipment Manager will directly assist the Equipment Manager in all aspects of safety precautions, equipment maintenance, purchasing, and communication.

Training will be provided for all the following.

• Assist with daily implementation of proper safety precautions.
• Assist with all cutting unit setup, equipment maintenance, and asset replacement program.
• Assist with scheduling and recording all equipment maintenance.
• Assist with ordering and sourcing equipment parts.
• Assist with department organization and cleanliness.
• Assist in time sensitive tasks with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of detail.
• Assist team members to provide the highest quality playing conditions possible.
• Assist in continued maintenance facility upgrades.
• Assist with Green and Grounds Committee meetings.
• Assist in departmental efficiencies.
• Have a positive attitude.

Biltmore Country Club is a private golf and social club in North Barrington, Illinois. Founded in 1926, this membership owned club is located on a unique 200 acre property featuring an 18-hole golf course, racquet facility, 60 acre recreational lake, pool and beach club. The course is comprised of newer renovated playing surfaces, bunkers, and green surrounds. The Green and Grounds Department employs approximately 20 team members during the peak season with an operating budget of $1.7M.

Department assets include Toro turf equipment, Bernhard grinders, updated maintenance facility, and a healthy equipment replacement program. Our management team includes education hungry Superintendents and an outstanding Equipment Manager. Our goal is to continue to advance the member experience with highest quality playing conditions and Master Plan improvement projects while maintaining top quality equipment assets.
