Summer Camp Baseball Head Coach
Camp Description and Website- Wiz Kids Camps are seasonal youth sports camps that offer athletic and academic enrichment to participants.
Baseball Head Coach
Qualifications- Prior coaching experience in baseball at the elementary or high school level.
- Coaching certification in the sport of baseball or an advanced degree in Sports Administration is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with campers, staff, and leadership.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise groups of children in an active camp environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe, positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all campers.
- Experience developing or facilitating age-appropriate drills, practices, games, or recreational activities.
- Previous summer camp, youth development, education, recreation, or childcare experience.
- CPR, First Aid, AED, or other applicable safety certification.
- Experience working with children of varying ages, abilities, and skill levels.
- The Baseball Head Coach is responsible for teaching fundamental skills as well as more advanced routines.
- The Baseball Head Coach oversees a team that guides campers through the day‑to‑day activities during this activity segment.
- Develop and lead daily activity specific drills and training components.
- Oversees participant development culminating in team competitions.
- Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper-related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff.
- Assist with additional camp operations including Camper check in and out, camper lunch, front desk, etc.
- Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4).
Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30pm - this is subject to change dependent on camper enrollment and grade class sizes.

Compensation- Starting at $25/hr
As a Wiz Kids Coach, you'll have the opportunity to turn your passion for sports into meaningful leadership experience while helping campers develop confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic skills
. You'll strengthen your coaching, communication, group-management, and leadership abilities while taking ownership of your program. Coaches who successfully complete the season may also be eligible for recommendation letter support and future return opportunities
