The Driver Team Leader plays a critical role in enhancing driver satisfaction and ensuring customer focus. This dynamic position demands flexibility and readiness to meet the evolving needs of the transportation industry.

The Driver Team Leader will:

• Oversee driver performance while adhering to company policies and DOT regulations.
• Directly manage multiple drivers including new hires and those requiring additional training.
• Ensure driver satisfaction during their time on the road.
• Make recommendations for driver performance documentation, including promotions or terminations.
• Resolve disputes and address issues for drivers.
• Promote safety within daily operations.
• Maintain accurate driver PTA’s and truck availability.
• Ensure timely service by monitoring driver performance and equipment status.
• Address service issues proactively and coordinate with USX Customer Service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance company culture and values.
• Provide support to drivers via phone, live chats, and emails regarding various inquiries.
• Engage with customers to build rapport and manage expectations.
• Participate in all relevant meetings, providing input and discussing objectives.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years in a driver or customer-facing role is required; experience in transportation, logistics, or technology is a plus.
• Skills & Abilities:
  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong problem-solving skills; effective communication across different mediums; adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Supervisory Role:
  Manage a team of 30 - 50 drivers.

This role is based in a standard office environment requiring the use of computers and other office equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively and possess visual acuity for tasks such as reading and analyzing data.
