Seasonal Grain Operator

Overview

Seasonal Operator – General Labor.

Location:

Galva, IL. Responsible for providing quality products and services in operations that support River Valley Cooperative member owners and a sustainable local cooperative operation.

• Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles
• Handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals
• May unload and load grain from storage bins and/or transportation
• Perform daily vehicle inspections
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Utilize heavy machinery, such as an end loader or skid steer
• Observe all OSHA, DOT, state and federal safety regulations at all times
• Follow housekeeping practices that keep facilities neat and clean
• Note:
  
  This job description is not exhaustive; other related duties may be required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

• Previous experience in agriculture or a related field preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver’s license
• CDL or Seasonal CDL is a plus

May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, agricultural chemicals and vapors, and moving machinery. May be required to work long hours in season and outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
