Duties
* Monitor critical operations worldwide, delivering reliable and comprehensive data to support the deployment and redeployment of combat assets.
* Monitor and track movements using multiple computer-based systems. (i.e., Single Mobility System (SMS), Marine Traffic, and In-transit Visibility (ITV).
* Assist the Battle Captain in support of the Chief, SDDC Command Operation and Integration Center (COIC).
* Ensure all data received effecting daily operations is provided to the Battle Captain.
* Communicate in real time with United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), major Army commands and combatant commands as well as transportation brigades, battalions, and detachments.
* Recommend courses of action to the Battle Captain or subordinate brigades, and other appropriate staff elements during emergencies, contingencies, and operations. Requirements Conditions of employment
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
* This is a Temporary position intended not to exceed eight 8 months.
* This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
* This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
