Utility Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Utility Professional to join our team! This full-time, 12-month position (40 hours/week) will primarily focus on student transportation (80%) as a bus driver while also assisting with custodial duties (up to 20%). Candidates must obtain a school bus license within six months of hire, with all associated costs reimbursed by the district upon license attainment. This position offers IMRF benefits and single insurance coverage.

Qualifications:

• General:
  Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. Ability to lift, move, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, and perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, climbing, etc.). Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks within set deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Building Custodian & Assistant Buildings and Grounds Staff:
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in building maintenance, custodial work, or facilities management a plus. Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and methods. Ability to operate and maintain various tools and machinery.
• Bus Driver:
  Good verbal communication skills At least 21 years old Possess a valid state driver's license for at least 3 years Must hold certification by the State of Illinois for bus operation or will attain certification within the first 6 months of employment. Be subject to a drug screen and physical Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
  
  Experience with school bus safety, student supervision, and transportation procedures is preferred but can be learned through training and education.
