Title
QC Lead
Schedule / ShiftC Shift: Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
A Shift: Sunday - Wednesday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation$21/hr
Job PurposeMaintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Ensure that Material Handlers are operating forklifts and walk‑by equipment safely at all times following all safety policies and procedures. This position reports to shift supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
- Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Apply Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Lean Warehousing principles.
- Operate material handling equipment and use an RF scanner.
- Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
- Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items for shipment.
- Comply with the company’s safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts and scissor lifts) and maintain clean initiative standards.
- Learn day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
- Verify orders are complete and accurate.
- Pick each customer order efficiently to minimize shipping costs and insure product safety.
- Execute other related tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Understand computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Work as part of a team and lead when appropriate.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Maintain attention to detail and quality.
- Communicate clearly, resolve problems, and provide people skills.
- Provide flexibility for overtime and shift coverage.
- Proficiency with PCs is helpful.
- Experience with sit‑down forklifts and walk‑by equipment.
- Build pallets with stock and break down stock to fill independent orders.
- Experience in cross‑docking freight processes.
- Operate in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- 2–4 years in a warehouse environment.
- Good and stable work and attendance record.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Warehousing certifications are a plus.
