Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

Position Summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Elwood, Illinois. This role offers weekly pay, an hourly rate of $20.00, a Monday‑Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and comprehensive benefits.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, handle tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Complete day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with a good attendance record.
• Demonstrates initiative and high accuracy even under pressure.
• Can lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Familiar with health and safety methods and flexible to work various shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
